MAKAIO (muh-kah-yo) has been performing virtually since he could breathe performing in his first television commercial at the age of 3 and by the age of 7 was touring and singing with a national Broadway musical.

MAKAIO continued to sing and perform music throughout his life, becoming the section leader of his high school marching band, concert band and orchestra, he went on to place1st in state in the solo snare drum competition..

He went on to study all styles of music at the equally esteemed School of Music conservatory at DePaul University. There his songwriting blossomed, as did his musical knowledge and abilities, and he went on to graduate with Honors in Vocal Performance,

MAKAIO now combines his vocal and percussion expertise as "The MAK of STEEL" Drum Players and he looks forward to brining the magic of steel drum playing AND singing to your next event!
